MARVELOUS Inniskillin 2021 Montague Vineyard Chardonnay (Ontario)

 

In a world full of mediocre Chardonnay this was one of the first I tried that opened my eyes to what Chardonnay could be. Now, many years later, Montague Vineyard Chardonnay is still one of those eye-popping Chardonnays - and that it is from here, in my own backyard (so to speak) makes it even more exciting ... It is time to reveal the newest edition of the Inniskillin 2021 Montague Vineyard Chardonnay.

Inniskillin 2020 Gamay Noir, Discovery Series

The more I dove (drank) into this wine, the more I really liked it ... Now I do have a positive biased towards Gamay - but when one is made well it's hard not to have that bias. This one is pretty with cherry, raspberry and floral both on the nose and on the palate. It’s highly drinkable with great depth and it's a solid Gamay, deep and delicious – which reminds me, it probably would match well with a simple pizza too.  Rating: ****+
